how to make LOLLIES
you will need: jolly ranchers, candy sticks, parchment paper, foil & a cookie sheet

1) lay a piece of foil on cookie sheet. cover foil with a piece of parchment paper.
2) unwrap candies and place side by side on parchment paper in your choice of color & flavor combinations. use three candies together for extra large lollies, and only two candies together for regular lollies.
3) heat candies in oven for about 5 minutes at 200 degrees. keep a close eye on the candies and take them out as soon as they've barely melted together. if you leave them in too long they will melt too much and you won't be able to put a stick into the lollie. alter the cook time accordingly.
4) carefully take cookie sheet out of oven. immediately lay candy sticks into place on melted candies. slowly twirl in melted candy to coat the stick and so it will hold in the lollie. they're hot! don't burn yourself but you will have to work fast before the candies harden.
5) let the lollies cool about 30 minutes before eating or wrap up in clear cellophane bags, tie with ribbon and give as gifts or party favors!

Just pulled ours out of the oven...waiting for them to cool and hopefully not stick to the parchment paper. Started out at 200 for 5 min but wasn't long enough. Increased temp (while lollies were still in oven) to 225 and baked for @3 more minutes and it worked! The candies had just meshed together when we took them out......but still a tad difficult to insert and turn the sticks...but it did work! They look beautiful and my daughter and her friend loved that they still maintained a 3 "scoop" look...(the lollies didn't melt totally together in a complete circle.) .....and they didn't stick to the parchment!! I just did a trial run of these for my daycare kids (rainy day) & they turned out great! I followed the suggestion of 225 oven temp & 6-7 minutes. i did something similiar while i was in prison and it was awesome (not prison the project LOL) wrap the candies in a baggie and tie so no water can get in submerge them in boiling water and melt the candies and then u can mold them into shapes like roses and elephants i have done so many. i sell them at bake sales and craft shows for alike 4.50 a pop.... try it...
